CHILI CON CARNE 
4 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
4 onions, chopped
4 green peppers, chopped
4 (1 lb. ea.) cans kidney beans, drained
2 (1 lb. 13 oz. ea.) cans tomatoes
2 (15 oz. ea.) cans tomato sauce
1 1/2 to 2 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
3 bay leaves, finely crushed

Season ground beef with salt. Brown meat in a 10-quart Dutch oven or kettle. Add onions and green pepper; cook until tender, but not brown. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Add water, if needed for desired consistency.

Makes 25 (1 cup) servings.
