COUNTRY STYLE MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. cooked rice
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 egg

Mix all ingredients and form into 18 meatballs. Brown in 2 tablespoons shortening in skillet.

Combine:

Heinz homestyle onions gravy
2/3 c. buttermilk

Pour over meatballs. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, removing cover during last 5 minutes. Makes 6 servings.
