SNICKER DOODLES 
1 c. soft shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Measure flour; blend all dry ingredients and stir in. Roll into balls the size of walnuts.

Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon. Place 2- inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
