SQUASH PATTIES 
4 c. squash, sliced (slice in 1/4 pieces)
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. green pepper, chopped
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
3 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. sugar
Salad oil

Combine squash, onions, salt and green pepper in a medium saucepan. Add water to cover. Cook over medium heat until tender. Drain. Add next 5 ingredients, mixing well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls into deep, hot oil. Fry until brown. Makes 10 to 12 patties.
