CHEWY FRUITCAKE BARS 
2 c. Bisquick baking mix
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. firm butter
1 c. flaked coconut
2 c. cut up candied fruit
1 c. snipped dates (if desired)
1 c. chopped nuts
1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix baking mix with sugar, cut in butter thoroughly. Press mixture with floured hands into jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes.

Spread coconut over baked layer. Layer candied fruit and dates over coconut layer. Sprinkle chopped nuts over fruit. Drizzle milk over top. Bake until golden brown, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Yield about 70, 2x1 inch bars.
