SUZY "Q" CAKE | |
1 dark chocolate cake mix Bake according to package directions in 2 greased 8-inch cake pans. Allow to cool on wire racks. Split both layers so that there are 4 layers. Assemble the cake by spreading the Suzy-Q filling between each layer and over the top of the cake. Suzy-Q Filling: 3 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. vegetable oil dash salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg white Whip butter, shortening and oil together until well blended. Gradually add the powdered sugar and whip until well blended. Add salt, vanilla and egg white and whip again until light and fluffy, about 5 to 8 minutes. If it is humid you may have to add more powdered sugar. |
