THUNDERBOLT CAKE 
2/3 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. unsweet cocoa
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2/3 c. chopped sauerkraut

Cream butter with sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add alternating with water and egg mixture. Rinse, drain and chopped sauerkraut into mixture.

Put into 2 greased and floured 8 inch cake pans or baking pans. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until cake is done. When cooled frost with your favorite frosting.
