DUTCH APPLE PIE 
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. sugar
2 to 4 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg yolk
5 apples, sliced

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt together. Blend in shortening and egg yolk until mixture is crumbly. Add milk and blend. Mixture should be lumpy.

Place this mixture over apple slices that have sugar and cinnamon to taste added to them in a greased 8x10 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
