SANTA'S WHISKERS 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. chopped candied cherries
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream together butter and sugar. Blend in milk and vanilla. Stir in flour, cherries and pecans. Form into two 2 inch rolls. Roll in coconut (3/4 cup). Wrap in waxed paper. Chill several hours or overnight. Slice 1/4 inch thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees 12 minutes or until edges are golden. 5 dozen.
