SMEARCASE (COTTAGE CHEESE) 
This recipe was give to me from my mother who got it from her father who was of German heritage. This is a family favorite!

1 container cottage cheese
1 bunch lil’ green onions
black pepper, to taste

Drain excess milk for cottage cheese. Chop lil’ green onions including the green part. Combine cottage cheese and onions together in a mixing bowl. Add black pepper. Set aside in refrigerator... The longer it sets the better! Serve on crackers.
