SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 sm. egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter with sugars; add egg and vanilla. Blend in flour. Fashion into small balls; flatten with cookie stamp on cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
