SPICY PEAR SALAD 
6 oz. pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
1 lb., 14 oz. can pear halves or sliced pears
4 inch stick cinnamon

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Set aside. Drain pears, reserving syrup. Add cinnamon stick to pear syrup. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and if necessary add water to make 2 cups. Add spiced pear syrup to Jello. Add pears. Pour into 1 1/2 qt. mold or 8 inch square pan. Chill until firm.
