SPICED FRUIT 
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 tbsp. whole cloves
1 tbsp. allspice
Stick of cinnamon
2 qts. assorted fruit, canned fruits or dried - prunes, apricots, peaches, pears

Heat together and set aside to have fruit absorb flavors (in refrigerator). Serves: 10 to 12.
