STUFFED MUSHROOMS | |
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese 3 tbsp. bread crumbs 1 hard boiled egg, chopped 1/2 clove garlic, minced or equivalent of powder 2 tbsp. soft butter 1 lb. fresh mushrooms 4 tbsp. butter, melted Mix egg, cheese, crumbs, garlic and soft butter. Remove stems from mushrooms. Wash. Place mushroom caps round side up on cookie sheet. (Make sure mushrooms are completely dry before starting to cook.) Brush tops with 4 tablespoons melted butter. Broil 3" to 4" from broiler for 2 to 3 minutes until brown. Turn over and fill with cheese mixture. Broil 1 to 2 minutes more or brown. Serve hot. |
