BANANA LOAF CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg plus 1 egg yolk
1 c. mashed bananas, do not blend
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light. Beat in bananas. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Bake in one large or 2 small loaf pans 1 hour 10 minutes at 325 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan.
