FRENCH CHERRY TORTE 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. ground nuts
1 c. butter, at room temperature

Mix like pie crust and pat into 9x13 inch pan. Bake in 400 degree oven about 10 minutes. Take out mixture, crumble and pat back into pan.

FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 pkg. imitation whipped cream, prepared according to directions on pkg.
1 can cherry pie filling

Mix cheese and vanilla, add sugar and whipped cream mixture and spread over crumbled crust mixture. Spread with cherry pie filling and chill 12 hours.
