CHOCOLATE CHERRY BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury fudge cake mix or Betty Crocker sour cream chocolate fudge
21 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using solid shortening, grease and flour 15"x10" jelly roll pan or 13"x9" pan. In a large bowl combine the above ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake jelly roll pan 20 to 30 minutes; bake 13"x9" pan 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. While bars cool, prepare frosting:

1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. milk
6 oz. (or 1 c.) semi sweet chocolate pieces

In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat, stir in chocolate pieces until smooth. Pour over partially cooled bars. (Try not to spread frosting as this causes it to turn dull.) Very gooey, should be served as a cake instead of a bar.
