1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. molasses
1 c. milk
3 1/2 c. flour (sifted in)
1 tsp. baking soda (sifted in)
1 c. cut, seedless raisins

Mix all ingredients well. Flour and grease pudding pans with lids. Steam 3 hours. Top warm, with hard sauce.

This recipe is made each Christmas by my husband's grandmother. It belonged to his great, great grandmother.
