1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
Milk or water

Combine butter, vanilla and confectioners' sugar. Add enough milk or water to desired consistency. Other flavorings and color may be added at this point. This can be used for piping also.
