SOURDOUGH BISCUITS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. prepared sourdough starter
1/2 c. (about) buttermilk

Mix first 4 ingredients in bowl. Cut in butter. Add sourdough starter and enough buttermilk to make a soft dough. Knead a few turns, then pat or roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with floured 2 1/4 inch cutter, put on baking sheet and bake in very hot oven (450 degrees) for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 1 dozen.
