MOM'S BEST EASY PIE CRUST | |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup shortening (Crisco) 1 egg yolk + enough milk to make 2/3 cup Mix flour and salt in a large bowl, set aside. Put egg yolk in measuring cup and fill with milk to 2/3 cup. Whisk milk and egg yolk together, then add to flour mixture. Dot in shortening and mix with hands. Makes enough for one pie with top and bottom crusts or two bottom crusts (like one apple pie or two pumpkin). Suggestion: Use with whatever kind of pie filling you like.
