BARBECUE HAMBURGERS | |
2 lbs. ground beef 2 green peppers (med.) 4 onions (med.) 1 (16 oz.) can mushrooms (drained) 1 (32 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce of your choice Prepare your ground beef the way you like it. Fry the hamburgers in a skillet until the meat is a little brown on both sides. Drain off grease. Place hamburgers in a crock pot of any size. Take 2 or 3 green peppers and wash and cut in long strips. Peel 4 onions. Cut them across and push through to make rings. Drain 16 ounce can of mushrooms. Put all the above ingredients in crock pot. Pour bottle of barbecue sauce over top of hamburgers, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Put lid on crock pot and cook on low for about 2 hours. Serve on kaiser or hamburger rolls. |
