BROWNIES 
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
4 (1 oz. ea.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream together butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla. Melt chocolate and stir into mixture. Fold in flour. Add walnuts; stir. Pour into a greased 9x13x2-inch pan and bake at 350°F oven for 20 minutes.
