CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/4 c. onion, chopped 3/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. ketchup 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 4 slices American cheese 1 can refrigerator biscuits (Pillsbury) Brown beef and onion. Add salt, pepper, ketchup and tomato sauce. Stir and heat thoroughly. Turn into 8-inch square pan or 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Cut cheese into thin strips and place over meat. Top with biscuits. Bake at 425°F for 25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown. Note: Make sure the mixture is hot when you put it in the oven or the biscuits will be doughy. Submitted by: Joye Hanson |
