MIMI'S SCOTCH CAKES 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Mix in bowl and bake on cookie sheet in oven at about 360 degrees approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Top with dab of Hard Sauce.

HARD SAUCE:

5 tbsp. butter
1 c. confectionery sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, slowly add sugar, beating until creamy and pale yellow. Add vanilla and blend. Cover and refrigerate until needed.
