1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all of above ingredients well and drop by teaspoonful on greased sheet. They spread, so space accordingly. Bake 7-8 minutes in 425 degree oven. Remove from cookie sheet and cool completely on rack.

FILLING:

1 c. confectioners' sugar
8 tbsp. marshmallow (1/2 jar)
1 tsp. vanilla
12 tbsp. Crisco (1 c.)
Milk

Mix well and spread on devil dogs. Cover with another dog. Makes about 25.
