TWINKIES - DEVIL DOGS 
Use yellow cake mix for Twinkies or chocolate cake for Devil Dogs. Bake cake in 2 jelly roll pans.

FILLING:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream Crisco and butter. Add sugar and evaporated milk. Beat until sugar is dissolved and filling is smooth and creamy. Spread filling in one cake. Top with second cake and cut in squares. Great with cold milk.
