“GOLDEN PEANUT BRITTLE” IS IN:

GOLDEN PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup light corn syrup (Karo)
2 cups raw peanuts
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
3 tsp. baking soda

Boil sugar, water and syrup until it spins a thread (234-240°F on candy thermometer).

Add peanuts; reduce heat. Cook until mixture becomes golden brown (300-310°F on candy thermometer).

Remove from heat; add butter and dissolve. Add baking soda; mix well.

As candy begins to cool, pull and cut with scissors.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
