KICHINETTE DOUGHNUTS 
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3 1/4 c. flour (about)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Soften yeast in water. Scald milk, add sugar, salt and shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add 1 cup flour. Beat well. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Add soft yeast, mix, add enough flour to make stiff batter, beat until smooth. Cover let stand until bubbly or 1 hour. Stir down drop by teaspoon into hot fat. Drop into icing while warm, makes a big batch.

ICING:

Powdered sugar
Milk (warm)
