MARSHMALLOW APPLE PIE 
6-7 tart apples
1 tbsp. butter
Few grains salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
12 marshmallows

Line a pie pan with plain pastry. Fill with pared and sliced apples. Combine sugar, salt and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter. Bake in hot oven (425 degrees) until crust is brown and the apples tender. Remove from oven. Cover the apples with halved marshmallows. Brown in slow oven (325 degrees). Serve warm.
