GLAZED 5-FLAVOR POUND CAKE 
5 eggs, beaten well and set aside
1 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose or cake flour
1 tsp. any 5 flavors (I use vanilla, lemon, almond, butter and coconut)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk

Cream butter and shortening well. Gradually add sugar. Continue to cream well. Add well beaten eggs and flavorings. Combine flour and baking powder. Add alternately with milk. Mix well.

Pour into a large well greased and floured tube cake pan. Bake 90 minutes in 300 degree oven. When done, remove from oven. Shake loose, but do not remove from pan. Pour 1/2 of glaze over top; let cake stand in pan for 15 minutes. Then remove from pan and pour the other 1/2 of glaze on cake. Let it cool completely before storing.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
Same 5 flavorings used in cake batter

Combine sugar, water and flavorings. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Cover and set aside to use as directed.
