Special thanks to my mother-in-law, Pauline. She gave me this recipe when I got married. It has been a long time favorite in our family for many, many years. Enjoy! 1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter (at room temperature) 1/2 cup shortening (Crisco) 5 eggs 1 cup evaporated milk 3 cups sugar 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. vanilla Mix all ingredients together and place in a greased and floured tube pan. Place in a COLD oven. Bake at 325°F for 90 minutes, testing after 1 hour. Submitted by: Bill W. | |
