BASIC COOKIE MIX 
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 lb. Crisco

Cut together with pastry knife or two knives. Can be stored in airtight container at room temperature.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES:

1 1/2 c. Cookie Mix
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Add: 1 tsp. hot water 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix thoroughly and add 1 (6 oz.) package chocolate chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
