WILTED CABBAGE SALAD 
2 lb. green cabbage
5-6 strips bacon, cut up
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Salt & pepper

Shred cabbage and place in bowl and cover with boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes. Then drain and pat dry. Cook bacon until crisp and add to cabbage along with some of the bacon fat. Add vinegar, salt and pepper. Serve warm.
