CEREAL COFFEE CAKE 
1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Combine and set aside for filling. 3/4 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. mace 1 c. any type bran flake or granola cereal

Stir together and set aside. 1/2 c. sugar 3 eggs 8 oz. sour cream, plain yogurt or buttermilk

Beat butter and sugar until well blended. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in sour cream. Add cereal mixture, mixing thoroughly. Spread 1/2 of mixture in greased 9" round cake pan. Sprinkle 1/2 of filling over batter. Spread remaining batter over filling. Top with remaining filling. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes. Yield: 8 to 12 servings.
