SEAFOAM CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2/3 c. boiling water
3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, optional

Boil sugar, corn syrup and water together until it forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water. Beat egg whites and salt and a couple dashes of cream of tartar at high speed for 3 minutes.

Pour syrup slowly in egg whites. When it passes glossy stage, add nuts and vanilla. Continue beating until mixture forms a peak when beater is raised. Pour in buttered pan or drop by spoonfuls.
