OLD FASHIONED CORN CHOWDER 
1 c. cubed bacon
1 med. onion, diced
4 tbsp. flour
2 c. cubed raw potatoes
2 c. corn, fresh, canned or frozen
2 c. water
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Saute bacon until crisp. Remove from the pan. Fry onions in the bacon fat until soft. Stir in flour. Add milk slowly, stirring until thick. Cook potatoes and corn in water until potatoes are tender. Add onion gravy to potato mixture. Add bacon and seasonings. Serve hot. Serves 6 to 8.
