ORANGE POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter, softened
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sweet milk
3 tsp. orange flavoring

Cream butter and Crisco well. Gradually add sugar beating until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together; then add alternately with milk to creamed mixture, mixing well. Add orange flavoring.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Use large steeple pan well oiled or use Pam spray. Place cake on wire rack and cool approximately 10 minutes before removing from pan. Makes 1 large steeple pan.

ICING:

1 box (16 oz.) powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, room temperature
1 tsp. orange juice, optional
