MRS. F.'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 lb. softened butter or Imperial
2 c. dark brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs
6 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. chocolate chips
2 c. chopped nuts

Cream together butter and sugars. Beat in vanilla. Add eggs and beat 3 to 4 minutes. Stir together flour, salt, and soda and add to above mixture. Mixture is sticky and dry. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by small ice cream scoops on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Allow to cool 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing. (Do not re-use wax paper). Can also be baked at 250 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Great. Makes quite a lot.
