BAKED INDIAN PUDDING 
1 c. yellow granulated corn meal
1/2 c. black molasses
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. lard or butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 1/2 q. hot milk

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with 3/4 quart of hot milk and bake in very hot oven until it boils. Then stir in remaining 3/4 quart of hot milk and bake in slow oven heat for 5-7 hours. Bake in stone crock, well greased inside.
