REALLY GOOD STUFFING | |
A must-have every Thanksgiving! Make it once and you'll agree. The recipe came to me from a friend who worked at a hotel kitchen. 5 medium potatoes 1 cup (2 sticks) butter 8 cups bread cubes (about 1 1/2 inch) 1 cup chopped celery 1 cup fine chopped med. onion 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1 teaspoon poulty seasoning or ground sage 1/4 pepper 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 can chicken noodle soup Heat oven to 375°F. Cook potatoes, then mash with sticks of butter. Add each ingredient, one at a time, and mix thoroughly as you go. Put the mix into a large, well-greased casserole dish. Cover with foil and cook for 40 minutes. Remove cover for last 10 minutes of cooking. Submitted by: Robert McDougle |
