EDWARD'S CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS 
3 1/2 to 4 lb. chicken
1/2 tsp. salt
1 sm. onion
6 c. cold water or more
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk or more

Can make dumplings out of Bisquick flour mix. Cut chicken in pieces. Put in kettle. Add cold water, salt and onion. Cook until done. Take pieces of chicken out from broth. Mix dumplings - 1 cup flour, salt, baking powder and milk. Drop dumplings from spoon in the boiling broth. Cover and steam 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
