CARROT COOKIES 
1 c. Spry shortening
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking power
1 c. flake coconut
1 c. nut meats
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. cooked, mashed carrots

Mix in order given. Drop by teaspoonfuls on cookie sheets and bake. Frost with 1 tablespoon butter, 5 tablespoons orange juice, grated rind of 1 orange and powdered sugar to make a creamy frosting. Spread on cookies.
