ALMOND ROCA BARS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk, beaten
1 tsp. almond extract, vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
6 to 8 oz. milk chocolate chips
1/2 c. (2 1/4 oz.) slivered almonds or 1/2 c. walnuts

Soften butter to room temperature. Combine all ingredients and mix with electric mixer until well blended. Spread evenly onto greased 10 x 15 cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees, 15 to 20 minutes until light brown. While warm top with chocolate chips, spread when chips are soft. Sprinkle with nuts.
