HARD CANDY 
3 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1 c. water
Coloring
3/4 tsp. to 1 1/2 tsp. flavoring
Powdered sugar

Mix first 4 ingredients; stir well. Then cook without stirring until scant 300 degrees with candy thermometer. Sift powdered sugar onto several cookie sheets. Remove candy from heat; add bottle flavoring oil and stir well. Immediately pour candy onto cookie sheets. Pouring should be done in approximately 1 to 2 inch strips. When hardened break into pieces.
