BRAN MUFFINS 
2 c. Nabisco bran cereal
1 c. butter
4 eggs
5 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
5 tsp. baking soda
1 qt. buttermilk
4 c. Kelloggs bran buds
Raisins, nuts, dates (to taste)

Pour 2 cups boiling water over Nabisco bran cereal; cool. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add 4 eggs and beat well; add cooled cereal.

In another bowl sift together flour, salt, and soda. Add flour and buttermilk alternately to cereal mixture. Fold in Kelloggs bran buds and add raisins, dates, and nuts if desired.

Bake in muffin tins until brown. Can keep dough in a covered container in the refrigerator for a couple of weeks.
