CRUNCHY APPLE CRISP 
4 c. apples, peeled & sliced
1/2 c. water or apple juice
4 tsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. lemon juice
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. almonds, chopped
1/2 c. oats
1 tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tbsp. butter, melted

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine apples, water, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon; toss lightly to coat apples. Arrange apples in an 8-inch square baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle over apples. Bake about 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is browned. Serve warm or chilled.
