CRUNCHY APPLE COBBLER 
5 c. sliced apples
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
6 tbsp. melted butter

Line baking dish (buttered) with apple slices.

Combine 1/4 cup sugar and spices; sprinkle over apples.

Topping: Mix flour, sugar and salt. Add egg and toss until crumbly. Spoon over apples. Drizzle melted butter over top. Bake at 375 degrees, 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream; also very good at room temperature.
