BEEF NEAPOLITAN 
1/3 c. chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 c. thinly sliced carrots
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
6 oz. mushrooms
6 oz. tomato paste
1 lb., 3 oz. can tomatoes
1 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 c. macaroni shells (raw)

Saute first 4 ingredients in oil. Add beef and brown. Add mushrooms, paste, tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano. Simmer 1 1/2 hours covered. Cook macaroni. Drain and stir in. Pour into 3 quart casserole and top with cheese and bread crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Can be frozen before baking. Serves 12.

TOPPING;
1 c. grated mild Cheddar cheese and buttered bread crumbs

Butter 2 slices of bread. Cut in cubes and sprinkle on top of casserole.
