HOMEMADE BREAD 
5 c. hot water
1/3 c. butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1 12/ tsp. salt
5 to 6 c. flour
1 1/2 c. dry milk (opt.)
2 pkgs. yeast (or 2 tbsp.)

Melt butter in hot water. Cool to finger temperature. Add remaining ingredients. Mix in enough flour until dough is not sticky. Turn dough out onto floured board and knead for 10 minutes. Return to bowl; let rise for 1 hour. Punch down. Divide into 4 parts. Knead and shape into loaves. Let rise until twice the volume. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until golden brown.
